I happily obliged, as I had helped him with some vineyard work at the site and knew the beautiful exposition - about as close as you can get to San Pablo Bay without the ground being suffocated by salt, surrounded by dairies and rangeland, hilly and windy with soft sunlight. When I brought it to the winery, I foot-tread all of it, then pressed the majority a few hours later after it picked up a peachy hue. The rose that wasn't blended with SB was put on top of whole clusters, so this wine is about 1\/3 whole clusters with 2\/3 juice. This macerated for a week, then pressed and moved into large-format barrels until it was bottled in early spring. Tonally it's light and delicate, with concentrated brambly qualities and a touch of green freshness.
