"It was 1868 when Mare Island Commodore James Alden put out the word. Navy sailors began bringing back exotic trees from all corners of the earth to plant on Mare Island. That’s how the pair of Australian bunya-bunyas got here. 120-feet tall and loaded with 40-pound pinecones bigger than a human head – these trees command respect. Especially when those pinecones start dropping. In honor of our beloved bunyas, we brought over Galaxy hops from Australia, then added a hint of pineapple, to craft this dangerously refreshing tropical IPA." 6.5% ABV
